    Frame Rate Target Control (FRTC)

    • Frame Rate Targeting Control is a feature that enables users the ability to set a maximum target frame rate when playing an application in full screen exclusive mode. The benefits that this may allow a user to experience are reduced GPU power consumption (great for games running at frame rates much higher than the display refresh rate) and reduce heat generation and as a result of that, lower fan speed/noise on the graphics card.

    • In Windows 7, 8, 10 if you unplug a display that will trigger a hot plug event
    which may reconfigure your displays.
    • With the EDID cached info., the OS will always think the display is attached.
    • Provide consistent EDID cached info. to ensure video is displayed correctly even when monitors is dis-connected or defected.

     **Note: HDR content requires that the system be configured with a fully HDR-ready content chain, including: graphics card,  monitor/TV, graphics driver and application.
