Dec. 12th. 2014, GXORE announced the availability of its new standalone Video Wall Multi-Display SST Expander design, the SMART iSST 6xDVIs and 4xHDMIs Edition. Designed different from standard MST type solution,The iSST SMART Expander series receives a DisplayPort™ 1.2 MST signal from the source device and converts to SST mode to splits up and routes the video streams independently to display devices for easy setting of Eyefinity UHD resolution mode with best displays compatibility. Multi-display Technologies DisplayPort™ 1.2, a new display interface, boasts features such as tremendous bandwidth and daisy-chaining capabilities for UHD 4K resolution. The SMART ISST expander series offers a flexible low cost way of building video walls and digital interactive infortainment to enables complex display wall arrangements for any mixture of landscape and portrait display formats. For larger video walls, multiple units can be combined together or used with DisplayPort 1.2 graphics cards to support up to 48 displays. Works with up to 4x AMD FirePRO for Eyefinity mode up to 72x displays in one video playback screen at easy installation and maintenance.
In connectivity based on AMD Eyefinity Technology, AMD has optimized its GPU's for this functionality from Radeon HD7000, R series / AMD APU systems for additional Eyefinity support mode into to one video screen for 2x2 mode (3840x1080) (8 display formation) or 4x1 mode (7680x1080) (12 display formation) or 3x3 mode (3840x3072) (9 monitors formation), extend and clone mode supports up to 18 monitors formation with one single AMD GPU card into one large video display or UHD 4K graphics resolution with its display drivers. It connects to the DispayPort 1.2 output of your system and uses the system's existing GPU to provide high-quality, uncompressed graphics and video across all monitors. Ideal for professionals requiring less software effort under Windows or Linux O/S for large video screen, multi-screens monitoring productivity and also meets your interactive UHD graphics requirement experience at high C/P ratio budget and easy maintenance cost.
